Anabasis Intelligence

A Living Library proposal for Friends

The legacy of your life's work should be conversationally accessible - even when you're not in the room.

The Living Library turns everything you've built — every book, talk, article, interview, and idea — into a living, interactive entity that represents you 24/7.

Living Library Demo

Hey, thanks for stopping by. I'd love to show you what we build here, but it's way more interesting if I can relate it to you individually. So tell me — what's the body of work you've spent years building, and where does it all live right now?

talk to me!

The Problem

You've spent years — maybe decades — building something real. Writing, speaking, teaching, creating. And your body of work is scattered.

Some of it lives on a website that hasn't been updated in years. Some is buried in podcast appearances most people will never find. Some sits on platforms you don't control — platforms that can change their algorithms, demonetise your content, or disappear entirely.

A new person finds you today. They land on a static page. They get fragments — not you. Not the full picture. Not the connections between ideas that make your work distinctive.

Meanwhile, your ideas are being discussed, shared, and sometimes misrepresented in spaces you can't monitor. Without a definitive, authoritative source that people can check against, others control the narrative.

The Solution

The Living Library is a ground-up build that takes your entire body of work and makes it conversational, searchable, and alive.

A visitor arrives at your site. They ask a question — by typing or speaking. The AI draws from everything you've ever published, synthesises an answer in your voice, and cites the source material. It doesn't make things up. It doesn't speculate. It connects ideas across years of work in ways that would take a human researcher hours.

Trained exclusively on your content — it speaks the way you speak, holds the positions you hold, and knows the boundaries of what you've said and what you haven't.

Your body of work stops being an archive. It starts being an experience.

Why This Matters — For You Specifically

The Living Library solves four problems that every creator, thought leader, and entrepreneur with a substantial body of work eventually faces.

1. The Discoverability Problem

People who already follow you know where to find things. Everyone else doesn't. Your best work is buried in old episodes, archived blog posts, and platforms with terrible search. The Living Library makes everything findable — instantly.

2. The Context Problem

Your positions evolve over time. A static archive treats everything as equally current. The Living Library distinguishes between earlier thinking and current positions — presenting your ideas with the nuance they deserve.

3. The Platform Risk Problem

Content on third-party platforms isn't fully yours to control. Algorithms change. Accounts get flagged. Platforms sunset features. A Living Library on your own infrastructure — your domain, your hosting — is inherently resilient.

4. The Scale Problem

There's only one of you. You can't personally answer every question from every reader, listener, or potential collaborator. The Living Library handles the 80% of questions you've already answered somewhere in your published content — freeing you to focus on the conversations that actually need you.

The Knowledge Base — What Gets Ingested

The AI is only as good as what it knows. We ingest everything relevant and structure it for retrieval.

SourceWhat Gets Ingested
Website / BlogAll published articles and posts — structured by topic, date, and theme.
YouTube / VideoFull transcripts of all video content — talks, interviews, tutorials, commentary.
PodcastsYour own podcast episodes and guest appearances — transcribed, indexed, and searchable.
Books / PublicationsFull text ingested by chapter and theme. The AI can cite specific sections and connect ideas across chapters.
Interviews and TalksConference presentations, panel discussions, webinars, and media appearances — all transcribed and indexed.
Social MediaLong-form posts and threads (curated) — the substantive content, not the noise.
NewslettersFull archive of published newsletters — searchable and connected to the rest of your work.

How the AI Handles Your Content

The AI isn't a generic chatbot. It's trained to represent you faithfully — and to know its own limits.

ScenarioHow the AI Responds
Topic covered extensivelySynthesises across multiple sources. Provides a comprehensive answer with citations to specific articles, chapters, episodes, or talks.
Topic not addressedStates clearly that you haven't covered this topic in published work. Does not speculate or generate an answer.
Position has evolvedPresents your most recent position first, then flags that your thinking has evolved — with citations to both earlier and current work.
Mischaracterisation attemptRedirects to your actual words. Provides direct citations so visitors can verify for themselves.
Hostile or bad-faith questionResponds calmly and factually, drawing from published work. Does not engage with provocation or editorialise.
Visitor speaks a different languageResponds in the visitor's language (with Multi-Language add-on). Your ideas, their language.

Let's Talk

Frequently Asked Questions

How is this different from Delphi.ai or other AI clone platforms?

Those platforms build a chatbot widget you embed on an existing site. We build your entire digital home — a modern, branded website with your content library, your bio, your SEO, your newsletter capture, and a conversational AI engine integrated into all of it. Delphi gives you a chat bubble. We give you a platform that works for you 24/7.

There's also a deeper difference: those platforms host everything on their servers, under their terms. Your Living Library lives on your domain, on infrastructure you control. If a SaaS platform pivots, raises prices, gets acquired, or decides your content violates their policies, you're starting over. With us, you own it.

Can't I just build a Custom GPT or use ChatGPT for this?

You can — and it'll look like ChatGPT with your name on it. No brand, no design, no content library, no SEO, no automatic ingestion of new content. Your audience won't confuse it for a professional platform.

Custom GPTs also live entirely on OpenAI's infrastructure. When they change the feature — which they do regularly — you're rebuilding from scratch. We build something permanent that's yours.

Why does this cost more than a $99/month subscription tool?

Subscription tools are self-serve. You upload some PDFs, adjust a few settings, and get a generic chatbot. That works fine if you're a coach answering the same 20 questions on repeat.

But if you have a 798-page book, fifteen years of podcast episodes, hundreds of articles, and a body of work that spans multiple domains — a "drag and drop your content" approach doesn't cut it. We do the actual work: ingesting your content at scale, engineering an AI persona that captures your voice and your boundaries, building proper citation systems so visitors can verify every answer against your original material, and wrapping it all in a professional web presence. The setup fee reflects real human craftsmanship, not a software license.

Other platforms have millions in VC funding. How do you compete with that?

They're building one-size-fits-all tools for millions of generic users. We're building bespoke platforms for specific people with serious bodies of work. Their thousands of customers each get the same template with different content poured in. Your Living Library is architecturally yours — custom AI persona, custom content pipeline, custom design, self-hosted if you want.

VC-backed platforms serve their investors first. We serve you first, because your success is our portfolio.

What happens if I want to leave or switch providers?

Your content stays your content. Your domain stays your domain. Because we build on open infrastructure — not a proprietary SaaS platform — you're never locked in. The code, the content database, and the AI configuration are all portable. We want you to stay because the service is excellent, not because leaving is painful.

Will the AI make things up or say something I wouldn't say?

Every Living Library is built with a custom persona prompt that defines your voice, your positions, your boundaries, and your citation style. The AI draws answers exclusively from your actual published work — books, talks, articles, interviews — using a retrieval system that finds the most relevant passages before generating a response. It doesn't freestyle or speculate beyond your material.

We also build in clear guardrails: the AI identifies itself as an AI trained on your work, cites its sources, and gracefully declines questions outside its knowledge base. You review and approve the persona before launch, and we refine it based on your feedback.

How long does it take to build?

Most Living Libraries are delivered within one to two weeks from kickoff. The process is straightforward: a 30-minute kickoff call, then we handle content ingestion, AI training, design, and deployment. You review it, request changes, and we launch. No technical skill required on your end.

What about ongoing maintenance? Do I have to manage this?

No. The monthly hosting fee covers everything: server hosting, AI API costs, SSL certificates, and ongoing content ingestion. When you publish a new article, release a new podcast episode, or post a new video, our system picks it up automatically via RSS feeds and content monitoring. Your AI gets smarter over time without you lifting a finger.

Can visitors talk to it in other languages?

Yes. Multi-language support is available as an add-on module. The AI can respond fluently in the visitor's language, drawing from your original content regardless of what language it was published in. For authors and speakers with international audiences, this means your work becomes accessible to people who could never engage with it before.

Is this just a chatbot with extra steps?

No. A chatbot follows scripts and gives canned answers. Your Living Library understands your work deeply — it can synthesize ideas across different books and talks, explain complex concepts in plain language, provide citations to specific chapters and episodes, and have genuine back-and-forth conversations that help visitors find exactly what they're looking for in your body of work.

Think of it less as a chatbot and more as the world's most knowledgeable research assistant who has read everything you've ever published and can explain any of it on demand, in your voice, 24 hours a day.

The Bottom Line

The AI "clone yourself" space is crowded with self-serve chatbot tools. They work fine for simple use cases. But if you've spent years — or decades — building a serious body of work, you deserve more than a chat widget bolted onto a broken website.

The Living Library is built on a different philosophy entirely:

  • Depth over breadth. We don't serve a million generic users. We serve a small number of serious people with deep bodies of work.
  • Curation over self-serve. We don't hand you a platform and wish you luck. We do the work — content ingestion, AI persona engineering, design, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Sovereignty over platform dependency. Your Living Library lives on your domain, on infrastructure you control.
  • Complete digital home over embeddable widget. We build your entire digital presence — the website, the content library, the AI, the SEO — unified into one platform.

Your life's work deserves better than a chatbot. Let's make it a Living Library.
